How to make an easy wall mounted industrial style candle holder Perfect mix of wood metal and glass

Hi friends! Has this year been kicking your butt too? I had the hardest time getting back into the swing of things after the holidays. I'm guessing I'm not alone. It's just so hard to get motivated when it's cold and dark outside.

To get me by, I've been focusing on smaller, indoor projects. I love smaller builds! Sometimes you don't want to spend days in the garage. It's fun to have something you can bust out in a single afternoon and hang it up right away.

Long skinny spaces of wall are the hardest to fill! So, I made one long wall-mounted candle holder, but you could use the same steps and make sconces in any size you need.

Ever since making my glass-topped outdoor table, I've been wanting to incorporate more glass into decor projects. I grabbed some cheap bud vases from Hobby Lobby and I hit up the Simpson Strong-Tie section of Home Depot for pipe grip ties. Mixing metal and glass can be kinda sketchy, but I came up with a super cheap secret weapon to attach the two materials safely.

I'm sharing the full tutorial over on the Simpson Strong-Tie blog. Head over to check it out. Want to save this idea for later? Feel free to pin the image below!

  1. I was curious if you ever thought of changing the structure
of your website? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better.
Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two images.
Maybe you could space it out better?
